Effect of weight savings on Eibach Prokits (near stock height)
In addition to the realized performance gains, the lighter weight helps reduce the shock absorbed by the drivetrain while launching.
The primary goal in the weight savings selection of this car is to maintain "street comfort"
PC680 dry cell battery - 20 pounds
ABS delete - 35 pounds
C/F hood - 30 pounds
Canadian seat belts - 35 pounds
A/C delete - 30 pounds
Cruise control delete -5 pounds
Momo Start racing seats up front -70 pounds
Rear seats / belts / wiper / squirter / bottle -60 pounds
PIA foglights - 5 pounds
Deleted miscallaneous underhood brackets / shields - 10 pounds
Deleted heat sheilds - 5 pounds
Twin 12" slimline Spal fans - 10 pounds
EGR delete - 5 pounds
Spare tire / jack - 35 pounds
Boards / brackets in trunk floor- 5 pounds
Other mods also saving weight:
Aluminum fly wheel - 10 pounds (rotational mass)
Aluminum wheels - 40 pounds (rotational mass)
Porting of head, intake / exhaust components - 5 pounds
Miscallaneous shaving / trimmnig of parts as car gets worked on
Last weigh in was 3250 with driver, 1/3 tank, and tool set before most reductions were completed, actual car weight around 3050.
Car should now be around 2650-2700 lbs, unconfirmed as scales are never open.
Some upgrades have added weight, such as brakes and suspension components

Sound material inside car - 25 pounds (I've actually added to this)
Stock Radio/CD Player/Amp - 10 pounds
Front Bumper Support (completely removed) - 35 pounds
Rear Bumper Support (completely removed) - 32 pounds
Driver Side Fan - 6 pounds
